Inclusion of students with ASD in recreation time in schools, and Real Oviedo, author of Genuine: a story with pride, courage and grit, and co-author of the books Practical Manual of Speech Therapy and 50 Teaching Success Stories.
He is soon to publish a new book: The Paths of Inclusion.
Training content
All people are different, and by law, inclusive education is a right enjoyed by all students. The current educational trend is to move towards inclusive education, in which all boys and girls learn together in the same educational context.
According to Article 24 of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Education recognizes the right of persons with disabilities to education. With a view to making this right effective without discrimination and on the basis of equal opportunities, the States Parties shall ensure an inclusive education system at all levels, as well as education throughout life, with a view to:
a) Fully develop human potential and a sense of dignity and self-esteem and strengthen respect for human rights, fundamental freedoms and human diversity
b) Fully develop the personality, talents and creativity of people with disabilities, as well as their mental and physical abilities
c) Make it possible for people with disabilities to participate effectively in a free society
By completing this course, the intention from an inclusive perspective is to change the negative social and educational view that sometimes still persists towards people with disabilities in society, providing strategies and practical examples to the attendees, in order to achieve greater inclusion for EVERYONE.
